I may chat about my books, what I'm writing or reading, or just general thoughts. You may read posts about my cats or just my crazy life in general. Comments are welcome, if anyone wants to interact with me. Maybe we can share war stories, whether it's writing related or just about life in general.

There’s nothing on TV on the weekends

Did any of you realize this?  I’m not a big TV watcher, but usually record some mysteries I like and gory doctor shows.  Tonight we were trying to find something lighthearted to watch after dinner.  We usually do our own thing around here, but it is Valentines Day.  My husband said let’s find something, as long as there are no swords, missing limbs and blood.  I don’t mind those things, but he won’t watch that kind of anything, be it TV or movies.

So we started scrolling down the menu, laughing at tonight’s offerings.  I really don’t know where this stuff comes from and who watches these programs, but here are some of the titles:  Sexy Beasts, Wicked Tuna, Animals in Love, Sex Sent me to the ER, Hair Jacked, along with a couple of horror movies like Bride of Chucky, the usual cooking and travel shows that we always watch if politics isn’t on.

The further we scrolled the crazier it became.  You’d think something would jump out with over 250 channels, but nada.  So it’s back to the same thing we usually do here.  I’m at the computer upstairs and he’s watching sports downstairs.  It’s just as well because I need to work on my book.

At least the weather is nice enough to open the windows.

  1. You're saying it's just the weekends? I haven't seen much interesting on TV during the whole week. For me it's usually just the old movies on TCM or small doses of the news--if I can actually find any news on the so-called news channels.

    1. Lee,

Much of the time there isn't anything on. I record some mysteries to watch later and sometimes a movie. My husband watches Fox news while we're eating dinner every night. He thinks that's the only station to watch for news. I don't care for it, but what can you do? We have totally different tastes as far as TV goes. I'm usually too busy to watch much TV anyway.

  2. Sounds familiar! Yes, it's much the same here at my house during the weeks that are mostly reruns. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your Fabric and Sewing Machine obsessions which matches or may even out do mine. I see too, that you are an AtoZ'er. Will certainly add you to my AtoZ Blog Roll...so excited for April 2015.

Wow, you ARE Cat Gal. They are all so pretty.
