Clouds fascinate me

Clouds taken from my backyard

I’m always taking photos and the sky is a favorite thing to photograph.  I love all the cloud formations and when puffy, white clouds adorn the sky giving the field of blue a bit of character.

This also reminds me of growing up when my siblings and I would lie on the ground in the summers and pick out animals and things from the formations of ever-changing clouds.

Sometimes this is almost better than just a pure blue sky, at least for pics of scenery and such.

Here in the desert, we don’t get many days with big, cumulous clouds all over.  It’s usually black clouds, or all blue sky.

Here are a few pics from the past few months.

Do you like the clouds or prefer blue sky?

I like the variety of having clouds, especially if the clouds look like something :)

    1. Hi Betty,

We get lots of decorative clouds here. I have a folder full of just cloud pics I've taken here in the desert.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Those are nice. There was this day where the clouds were amazing, so I took a pic. Later, I discovered I had had my thumb in the way, so the pic was unusable. Sigh.

    1. Liz,

Oh no! I hate when things like that happen! Clouds change pretty quickly, just like sunsets, so you don't have a long window to capture them in a picture. I've been known to grab the camera in the middle of dinner and race outside to get a pic.

      Thanks for reading and commenting.

  3. We get lots of beautiful clouds here in Devon, UK, usually with rain in them! I love it when it's really windy and the clouds race across the sky. It is, however, to get clear blue skies occasionally.

    1. Hi PL,

When the clouds race across the sky here, we get ravens playing on the wind currents and showing off their flying skills. They're so fast that I haven't been able to capture a decent picture yet, but I'm still trying.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
