This one is to make cleaning easier. I recently found this product and I’m amazed
with what it can do. I’m not very
domestic and hate cleaning and cooking, which is an oddity, I guess, because I’m
female. I’m always looking for something
to make the job quicker so I can get back to doing what I’d really like to do,
writing, reading, sewing, crafting, playing with the cats, etc.
Unfortunately, I live in a dust bowl called the desert. Red sand surrounds me. I can dust and in two days, the red sand is
back. I still like to leave my windows
open because there aren’t that many days you can do that in the desert. Face it I love fresh air, but usually it’s
too cold or too hot around here for open windows. Regardless, the sand finds a way into the
house.
This is a new dusting cloth by Clorox. Don’t worry it isn’t smelly like bleach and is safe to use on just about any surface, including electronics. It’s a dry duster similar to the refill cloths for the swifter, but this is thinner and a bit stickier (not the sticky you’re thinking of.)
This cloth is about 8” by 8” and is designed for dry
dusting. Unbelievably, one cloth can
dust an entire room. That’s what the
company advertizes and they don’t lie. I
tried it in the dustiest spot in the entire house, my husband’s office. I wanted to put this to the test and I wasn’t
disappointed.
The wipe picks up dust and cat hair (I have plenty of that)
and it stays on the cloth because of the tacky texture. You actually remove it and not just move it
around as you dust. When finished you
just toss the rag in the trash. The dust
cloth starts out as a light yellow color.
By the time you’re finished, it will be brown.
Handy dispenser box
Normally I carry around a cleaning basket loaded with paper
towels, half a dozen different cleaners, dust rags, scrubbing sponges,
etc. I think Clorox Dust Cloths is a
marvelous find.
Those dust wipes would sure come in handy living in the Dust Bowl. I could use them for all the hair my cats shed. :P
ReplyDeleteChrys,
DeleteThe dust wipes were a real find and they do actually what they advertise they will. That's even better! We have dust and cat hair galore in the desert.

I am not a fan of cleaning either. I'd rather be reading, writing or playing with my cat too. And wow, 3300 square feet is a lot of cleaning to have to do! Your house is huge. I do enjoy cooking, but would much rather someone cook for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in at my blog. I LOVE the pictures of your cats they are all beauties!! I am always happy to meet another crazy cat lady. Tootie, reminds me of my cat Mena. Despite starting out as the runt, she turned into quite a big girl. I like to call her "fluffy" instead of fat. We don't like use the F word in my house... Ha!!
jaybird,
DeleteAlways nice to find another cat lover! I've started Tootie Ms. Waddles because she's so fat and loves to eat. She looks so fiunny running to the food bowl with her tummy wobbling back and forth from side to side.

Oooh, that looks awesome. I don't know why being female means we must like to cook and clean. I think those jobs have been relegated to us, but not necessarily due to an affinity for the tasks.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
DeleteI think the cooking and cleaning jobs were passed down through the generations to us women because it probably started out with the men being hunters and they thought it necessary to give the women jobs in their absence.

I'm with you not liking to clean. I'll have to check out this product. I've used something similar but it didn't work as well. If it cleans your whole in an hour my 1500 square foot home should take half of that. Excited. Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteLisa,
DeleteI was hoping to help someone with this post. I think this product is terrific and I have a HUGE house to keep clean.

I need to get some of those.
ReplyDeletepilch,
DeleteHonestly, these are great. I ordered them from Amazon, but I think Walmart carries them now - just in a smaller box. I like to post about helpful things once in a while. I always try them first and, if I'm sold, then I post about them.
Thanks for the comment.
