Unfortunately, it’s time to drag out the woolies. This coming Sunday night is supposed to be 38
degrees. Yuck! I hate to see that already. Needless to say, I’m enjoying my last days of
tank tops, going barefoot and being able to open the windows.
Of course this is only a taste of what’s coming. Now I have to keep an eye on the situation so
I can move my tropical plants to the garage to join all the other stuff out
there that still needs my attention.
They can’t be in temps below 40 and I won’t lose anymore plants to this
harsh climate.

So I’m dusting off your sweatpants and thermals and taking inventory of my socks. It’s also time to stock up on pantry stuff for soup and other staples. I don’t go out much in winter so it won’t be long and I’ll be hibernating in the house.
I hate the thought that it’s almost time to fold away the
summer clothes and find your winter ones.
It’s also time to try out the furnace and make sure it doesn’t need
maintenance before we need it. But what
can I say? We have no control over the
seasons so all we can do is prepare beforehand.
Hi Sunni! Winter is around the corner. I'm in south Florida and it's expected to be in the low 50s on Sunday. For us this is coat weather. So I could just imagine the northern states. Happy Halloween and stay warm!

DeleteI'm in the high desert north of Vegas. Right now the house is for sale and I'm looking to move south after it sells. FL is on the list, although I don't know if that's where I'll end up. Believe me, fifty is coat weather for me, or at least a warmer jacket. I get cold if it gets in the 60's. I think a lot of places are beng hit this weekend with a cold front - just a taste of things to come.
Happy Halloween to you too! We only got eight trick-or-treaters this year,so I'm glad I didn't buy a lot of chocolate candy. I love chocolate and that would be too tempting as I sit on the computer writing my NaNo project. Did you enter this year? You really should.
