HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Be safe in your celebrations and keep your black cats safe.

My little boy will be two years old tomorrow.  Of course, that’s an estimate.  He was found abandoned in a box in a field before he was turned into PAWS.  For all I know his birthday is today, on Halloween, or perhaps on November 2.

It’s hard to imagine that anyone would abandon such an angel when we have animal agencies that rescue pets and find homes for them.  I’ll never understand this kind of human behavior as long as I live.

 Here's my angel, Raven

Anyway, the time has flown and it’s hard to believe I’ve had him this long already.  He’s such a joy and has such a beautiful, tender heart.  I’ll never regret adopting him and giving him a loving, forever home.  Stay tuned for birthday pictures.  (And yes, humor me because the cats are my kids.)

Happy Halloween all!

  1. Such a sweet looking cat :) I too don't know why a person could abandon an animal. It was sad with one of the parts of California we lived in. It was in 2008/2009 when the economy tanked and everyone lost their houses. Lots of dogs were abandoned at the time. I'm not a fan of them, but the majority of them were pit bulls. I'll never forget the day when I was out walking Koda and a saw this car drive by and then about 2 minutes later it came flying back down the street towards us. The couple in the car said there were 3 pit bulls further up the street and they didn't want us to walk by them. It was a fancy leather seated car and the husband was a bit reluctant to have us sit in the back seat but they did take us home. I was so thankful of God's protection that day.

    1. Betty,

That's quite a story about the pitbulls. I moved from CA in late 2004, but even before that we would see abandoned animals from time to time. I think it's very sad that people can't take the time to take the animals to a shelter if they can no longer keep them.

Thanks for reading and leaving a comment. I'm glad the people came to your rescue that day too. There are still a few kind souls out there.

    1. Liz,

This cat is such a happy fellow. He's so sensitive and has such feelings about things that happen in the house. I'm definitely celebrating his birthday! I hope I can get him to wear a BD hat long enough to take a photo. He usually loves to dress up so we'll see. I'll post pics tomorrow if it works out.

Thanks for reading and leaving a comment.
